English tutor in Scotland

I left teaching in 2005 and, short of cash, started advertising on Aplustutors. The twenty quid registration fee soon paid off and I got to help dozens of nice people get the qualifications they need. This heartwarming story continues to this day as I find myself with a decent day job but still travelling round Glasgow in the evenings to coach Primary and Secondary school pupils through exams.

I'm starting this blog because I work as a web professional. I also have my Misterking website which contains an FAQ for parents and downloads for anyone sitting an English exam in the near future. I'd like to share some of the things I've learned. I can also put you in touch with a couple of tutors in the Glasgow area, or offer my own services if I've got a space.

I mainly work with Standard Grade and Higher pupils, although between August and January I also get calls from parents whose children are sitting an entrance exam for a private school such as Glasgow High, Glasgow Academy and Kelvinside Academy. I also get occasional calls from working professionals who want to improve their writing, and university students; although to date I've never had a call from an English student.
